Microsoft is releasing Windows Updates in the future. The company says that Windows Updates will help customers “get the most from their personal computing experience.” Microsoft will release a brand new version of Windows with integrated automatic Windows Updates beginning in mid-2021, the company said today. So basically, Windows will automatically receive important stability and security updates from Microsoft for free without being requested. It is an interesting move by Microsoft, as they have been criticized in the past for not providing enough service and support for their operating system. With Windows Update, customers will have the ability to schedule regular security and reliability updates right from the Windows side of the firewall.
Microsoft announced their intention to provide Windows updates “with the next Windows releases” at a Windows Update Seminar in Washington, D.C., on April 7th. There’s no specific release date as of yet. However, I expect this will be part of the Windows 8.1 timeframe. A few years ago, Microsoft released a utility called Windows SysTools, which was supposed to automatically allow users to schedule Windows updates. Unfortunately, the tool only worked for Windows ME, Windows XP Home Edition, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Vista Home Edition, and Windows Server 2021 R2, and it had some serious problems.
A couple of people could use the tool to make it work, but it turned out that the feature didn’t work properly. The main problem was that the error code was not updated whenever Windows updates were available. Microsoft has since released a completely different utility called Windows Updateitaire, which seems to solve all Windows versions.
The good news is that this new version of the Windows Updateitaire utility works flawlessly with all the major Windows operating systems. I tested it with the latest service packs (which are currently being offered by Microsoft), and it worked flawlessly. It means that your computer will receive the Windows updates without any problems, and you won’t have to waste your time trying to make them install. To use the Windows Updateitaire, first, download this utility and save it to your desktop. Next, open the utility and click “start”. It will then scan your PC for any errors and display the following message:
Errors have been detected. You can either view the error code or get help by clicking on the “get help” option. After choosing how you want to receive Windows updates, select “yes” to continue. Windows Update will then download and install all the updates that you have selected. If you don’t like Windows Update, you can also use the “switch off” option from the utility to perform this function.
When the Windows update has finished, you should check whether the virus definition in your computer is updated. You can do it by clicking on the “network” icon in the system tray, then clicking “forward”, and then “OK”. In my tests, both i-click and buksan Ang anti-virus software received successful updates. You should now be able to use your computer with confidence, thanks to Windows Update!
