With the Windows operating system, updates and customizing of the Windows Taskbar are simple. It is a first-class item with Microsoft. It allows for easy access to recent tools, history, stored passwords, desktop icons and even add-ons that are not yet installed on the computer. However, with all of this neat functionality comes a long list of potential errors.
The Windows Taskbar updates and the Microsoft updates are very important to the operation of the operating system. Microsoft provides constant support for the operating system and its various components. If you don’t have regular access to Microsoft, you may experience problems updating your Taskbar or using other Microsoft applications.
Microsoft updates are available through Windows Update. This is normally found in the Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Update. Once you have applied the Windows update, it should take effect in a few minutes. A pop up will appear to let you know that a new update has been detected.
It is up to the user to decide whether to apply the new update or ignore it. Most people leave the feature enabled. The user profile, which is located in the Start Menu, is where the user can customize the Taskbar and any other items. There you can find all of the standard items such as recent files, desktop icons, running services and programs, control panel and so forth. In addition, there is a customizing option that can be found by right-clicking on the user profile and selecting Customize option from the pop-up menu.
When customizing the Start Menu, you will notice a standard button there allowing the user to select their default toolbar that contains the folder and files they want to use for the program they are currently running. All that is required is for the user to press the appropriate button to apply the changes they want. A Save custom state button allows the user to save the changes and indicate that they are permanent, which can then be later on the scene when the user loads up their computer.
There are several other options available when it comes to customizing the Taskbar. When the user installs third-party software on their machine, a program called Toolkit installed provides a means for customizing the Taskbar and the various control panel items. These programs are easy to install and provide a great way of customizing the look of the Taskbar. When a user is first setting up their machine, they will usually opt for the easiest option, the standard Windows setup, which provides a standard set of very easy to use and navigate.
